Struggling with how to follow up?

I created a dope carousel about how to follow up with people (my process for ‘social selling’ for people I meet at conferences)

A little tip: you know a carousel is good when it has almost as many comments as likes. Check it out here.

Beware of the Friendly Text that Bites

Let's picture a day in the dynamic world of a start-up. One team member, let's call him John, is on a well-deserved lunch break when he gets a text message. It's from his 'bank', flagging suspicious activity on his account. To fix it, he needs to verify his account immediately via a provided link.

John, anxious to secure his funds, swiftly clicks the link and enters his details, unknowingly stepping into a cleverly laid trap.

This is no ordinary scam, my friends. It's a form of social engineering known as 'smishing', where cybercriminals use SMS messages to trick you into handing over your personal information or installing malicious software.

So how can John, and all of us, stay one step ahead of these digital tricksters? By applying a healthy dose of skepticism to all unsolicited communication. If a message seems fishy, trust your gut. Call your bank on their official number and confirm the situation. Remember, in the cyber jungle, it's better to be safe than sorry. Let's keep our wits about us and stay cybersafe!

How a movie inspired Julian’s Startup

Ever see the movie Hero Six? Well there is a nursing robot in the movie that Julian Martijn Jagtenberg recalls and was part of the inspiration for creating Somnox. See clip here or full episode here. 📺

The End

Congratulations to Roxana Motoc who won the book ‘Tools of the Titans’. This was a raffle I recently held where if you completed a survey, you had the chance to win a book of your choice or the hit book from Tim Ferris.

This is a pic of Roxana receiving delivery of the book 📕😀

This past week I had severe pain in my lower back and couldn’t even get up from bed or a chair without wanting to cuss. After seeing an amazing physical therapist who unbelievably got me back to 60% (if you want his contact info just lmk), I realize I have to drastically change the way I workout.

Because my daughter wakes up around 6:45am and has to have her special boots removed so she can get out of bed (she was born with clubfoot), I hit the gym hard at 6:00am and leave by 30 minutes. This leaves no time for warm up or cool down.

Which I’ve found out is a BIG mistake.

So now I’m incorporating a warm up/stretching/foam roller routine into my workouts. I feel this should alleviate the back pain and overall body soreness I’ve been experiencing recently. In case you didn’t no, I’m no spring chicken 🐣

What about you? Do you use a foam roller or do any kind of stretching? Let me know, would love to hear about it!
